Investment Bootcamp for High School Students

Learn the essentials of personal finance and the basics of investing using 91pornąŮ·˝â€™s Bloomberg Financial Lab. Additional benefits include becoming stock market literate, benefits of diversification, currency, and mutual funds. Participants may complete the . Investment Bootcamp teaches you how to manage money and plan for real-life scenarios – topics rarely covered in school.

Investment Bootcamp is a week-long summer program at 91pornąŮ·˝'s campus in Northfield, Vermont.

Who can apply?
Rising sophomores, juniors, and seniors.

Application deadline: May 15, 2025 

Applications will continue to be reviewed until the academy is full. We encourage you to apply early. A limited number of scholarships are available.

Cost: $1,500 ($300 deposit is required.)

Program includes: Housing, food, instruction, supplies, and activities.


What You Will Learn

  • Design and manage a budget based on real life scenarios.
  • Explore career choices and related income levels to determine budgets, spending, and lifestyle choices.
  • Learn about taxes, insurance and paycheck deductions.
  • Discover ways to identify and avoid hazardous financial traps, scams, and schemes.
  • Learn about credit, responsible credit card use, and find out how to avoid credit pitfalls.
  • Understand how to escape the pitfalls by saving for emergency funds and wise budgeting tactics.
  • Explore types of bank accounts and learn how they work.
  • Discuss investment strategies to grow savings and a 401K.
  • Develop a money mindset and the skills necessary to successfully “life plan” your money.
